About

Kjell Wassermann

Industry DNA meets educational excellence.

Trainer development & learning architecture – shaped by more than 20 years of hands-on work in safety-critical industries and a clear educational foundation.

My path

From the machine room to global training strategy.

My path was never purely theoretical. It began where precision determines safety: in electrical engineering.

1

From the machine room to global training strategy

As an electrical petty officer on submarines and a ship’s diver in the Navy, I learned what it means to take responsibility in highly complex, safety-critical environments. That practical basis still shapes my work today – whether as a service engineer for combined heat and power plants or as a commissioning engineer for large marine engines worldwide at Wärtsilä.

2

The bridge between engineering and instruction

During my time at Wärtsilä I discovered my passion for not just applying knowledge but conveying it effectively. At Vestas I had the chance to take that expertise to a global level – as head of training quality and standardisation, with programmes such as 4MAT design.

3

Certified quality and strategic foresight

To put my practical experience on a scientific footing, I have kept developing my qualifications. As a state-certified vocational educator (Master Professional CCI), I now combine deep technical understanding with the highest educational qualification.

Personal values

What defines me as a trainer developer.

Authenticity

I don’t teach anything I haven’t done myself under pressure – my examples come from the machine room, not the textbook.

Empathy

Before I talk about methods, I want to know what the participants’ working day looks like and where it really gets stuck.

Clarity

A learning objective that can’t be checked in a single sentence isn’t one yet – I phrase things so nobody has to guess.

Passion

The moment the penny drops for someone is still the best part of the job for me.

Qualifications

My milestones & qualifications.

Master Professional (CCI)

State-recognised qualification in vocational education (Berufspädagogik).

GWO IQTT Teacher

Member of the working group for the Global Wind Organisation Instructor Qualification Framework – certifies trainers in the wind industry.

Smart Learning Facilitator

Certified in 2025, expert in the use of AI in teaching.

Maritime expertise

Recognised instructor for IMO courses training seagoing personnel.

My promise

“Turning those affected into active participants.”

I am convinced that lasting learning only comes from structure and clarity. In the maritime, wind energy and steel industries, knowledge is safety-critical.

With InstrucTip I don’t offer off-the-shelf courses but a well-thought-out learning architecture. I help you define learning objectives precisely, align teaching methods effectively, and carry measurable learning success over into everyday work.
